Hijingo Rewinds to the 90s with Boozy Tuck Shop Nostalgia and Retro Beer Prices
It’s time to dig out your bucket hat, cue the dial-up tone, and prepare for a night of neon-fuelled chaos, because Hijingo is going full throwback. Known for being “one of London’s most electric bingo experiences”, is hitting rewind for a limited run this autumn with its 90s Download: a high-energy, nostalgia-soaked party that’s part bingo, part club night, and 100% chaotic fun.
Having launched on the 2nd of September, this new show is already a must-visit for all Bingo lovers. They have transformed their Shoreditch venue into a sensory overload of 90s hits, cult prizes, and candy-coloured cocktails that taste like your childhood tuck shop… only boozier. And because no trip down memory lane would be complete without a few retro bargains, Hijingo is also turning back the clock on its drinks prices. Guests can sip Birra Moretti for £1.80, Amstel for £2, and Inch’s Cider for just £1.90, all served in a neon-soaked setting that looks like the inside of a 1998 MTV music video.

A Bingo Show Like No Other
If you haven’t experienced Hijingo yet, think bingo meets a rave with a side of sci-fi. It’s loud, immersive, and completely bonkers, and that’s exactly why it’s become one of London’s most talked-about nights out. The 8,000 sq ft venue seats up to 200 people and features futuristic visuals, pounding soundtracks, and a podium where winners are showered (sometimes literally) in glory.
For The 90s Download, the team has gone all-in on the throwback theme. The show’s signature blend of lights, lasers and bingo mayhem has been remixed with VHS-era nostalgia. Expect nods to everything from Spice World to Slim Shady, as the soundtrack weaves through 90s hip-hop, garage, grunge and glossy pop bangers. One round might have you belting out Wannabe with a table of strangers; the next could see you throwing shapes to California Love or Smells Like Teen Spirit.
And, as ever, it’s not just about the numbers, it’s about the prizes. Every session is packed with big-ticket wins and cult collectables, from retro games consoles and Instax Minis to proper 90s-worthy jackpots like holidays and cold, hard cash.

Sip Like It’s 1999
The real star of this nostalgia trip, though, might just be the drinks. The new 90s Tuck Shop cocktail menu is pure adult playground. It’s fun, it’s frivolous, and it’s guaranteed to get tongues wagging.
There’s WXD, a bright-blue homage to your first house-party alcopop (iykyk), and Orange Soda, a zingy tequila-based serve that could’ve been poured straight from Kenan & Kel’s fridge. Sip Dab: vodka with peach, cranberry, lime and, yes, an actual Dip Dab on the side, might just be the ultimate retro remix. Meanwhile, Apple Jacks pairs whiskey and soda with a fizzy apple belt garnish for that perfect hit of sugar, nostalgia and rebellion.
The cocktails are as playful as they are photogenic, and the whole experience walks a fine line between ironic throwback and genuinely brilliant night out. It’s the kind of event that makes you nostalgic for an era of dial-up internet, Tamagotchis, and Top of the Pops.

Nostalgia Hits Different
The genius of Hijingo The 90s Download lies in how it blends tongue-in-cheek nostalgia with the high-octane entertainment the venue is famous for. It’s the kind of night that works whether you’re a millennial chasing memories of a simpler (and sugarier) time, or a Gen Z-er curious about life before TikTok.
There’s something wildly satisfying about sipping a cocktail inspired by your old school tuck shop while shouting “BINGO!” to a backing track of Biggie, Busta Rhymes, and Britney. And when those bargain pints start flowing, at prices we haven’t seen since the actual 90s, the good vibes only get stronger.
Hijingo
do it while you can
Running from Tuesday 2nd September to Sunday 12th October 2025, Hijingo – The 90s Download is available as part of both the Bingo Brunch and the Hijingo Experience packages, starting from just £16 per person.
Whether you’re planning a big group night out, an alternative date, or a post-office party with a twist, this one’s set to be the most talked-about event of the season. You’ll come for the prizes and the playlists, but stay for the vibes, the cocktails, and that unbeatable 90s energy.
So grab your friends, dust off the butterfly clips, and get ready to party like it’s 1999.
