Jason’s Sourdough
Jason’s Sourdough Crumpets
Jason’s Sourdough range is already a favourite amongst the Consommé team, and now with their addition of Jason’s Sourdough Proper Crumpets (£1.80, Tesco), you can bet we have been slathering them in butter all week long. With that signature Jason’s sourdough tang, you can get all the rich and deep flavour of fermentation with no added yeast (or added sugar, baking powder, preservatives, bi-carb, seed oils… these really are as natural a crumpet as you can get). The result: a four-ingredient super soft, super springy and super scrumptious treat perfect for any time of the day.

The range includes two delicious sourdough pizzas: Chicken & Chorizo and Prosciutto Ham & Mushroom, plus Sourdough Doughballs with an oh-so-morish Roasted Garlic & Herb Butter, that I could just eat straight off a spoon. Each recipe is made without gluten but full of flavour, with thin, crispy bases, rich tomato sauce, and premium (and generous) toppings.
